No egg or Bonnet debris of any sort must be left in Pembroke Lodge or Richmond Park as it may be harmful to the deer or other wildlife and park users. Please clear up any breakages carefully and carry the eggs in a bag or container when getting to and from the races. If the weather is bad or the slopes are too wet the Egg Race will sadly be cancelled. As for all events in Richmond Park, if going in long grass please wear long trousers and long sleeved shirts, with the long trousers tucked in to socks or boots to prevent being bitten by ticks which may carry Lyme disease. Check clothes and skin very carefully every 4 hours and afterwards and remove any ticks promptly amd carefully, preferably before they attach themselves to the skin. For further information on Lyme disease please see the leaflets in the Park or look at sites about it on the web; it is a serious disease and wise precautions must be taken.
